Bangladesh has an economic growth rate of 6-7 percent, one of the fastest in the world. This is good, but to be honest it makes me sad. For, with better administration, and good governance and people who are a bit more honest, we would not have been good, we would have been great. Sadly though, we are more busy trying to show and enjoy our independence twice a year rather than actually work to lift off the imprisonment of poverty and oppression from our people. We would be the ones marching on the 16th of December chanting victory, while an old man in the corner looks on, his eyes glistening, and no one batting an eyelid towards him. Sadness
