Bank manager charged over fraudulent cheques – Harrington Park A man will appear in court next month in Sydney’s south-west charged with depositing fraudulent cheques and illegally using the money to place bets. Police will allege between Thursday 20 September 2012 and Tuesday 4 February 2014, a 38-year-old man employed as a senior manager at a bank on Lexington Drive, Bella Vista, deposited and cleared 27 valueless cheques. The total value of cheques deposited by the man is alleged to be more than $2 million. He allegedly used the funds to place bets with a betting agency. On Wednesday 5 February 2014, a 38-year-old Harrington Park man attended Campbelltown Police Station and participated in an interview. Yesterday (Monday 26 May 2014), the man was issued a future court attendance notice for dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception. He will appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 7 July 2014.
