Banks are NOT your friends. Banks will NEVER make changes that benefit their patrons. They will always make changes that add cash to their coffers, not yours. Two years ago they starting closing on Saturdays. Today I learned the bank branch I use will close in one month. The teller said it was to cut overhead. I will now have to drive 10 miles through traffic and 18 stoplights to get to my bank and back. That means more of my gas and more of my time. I am not happy. And did I mention... banks are NOT your friends...?
