Baramulla, Jan 16: For Iram Sheikh, the topper in arts stream in class 12th examination, success in Civil Services Examination will be the culmination of her hard work and these results as she believes in are part to achieve the ultimate goal. Iram, a resident of Khawja Bagh Baramulla, has bagged first position with 485 marks in arts stream. Like other top performers, she has the same tale of spending long hours with books and making personal sacrifices. I believe hard work and submission to Almighty are the key component of my success. I worked hard throughout the year and sacrificed a lot to achieve this milestone, says Iram. While showing her interest in the Arts stream from class 10th examination despite objection from her relatives, Iram yearns to crack the Civil Service Examination and class 12th results is a step towards that. A student of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla, she says: “I always had interest in the Arts subjects and was sure that my love towards the subject will reward me one day.” Hailing from a middle class family, Iram has made her parents proud. Being the second among three sisters, she has proved that it is hard work and not the gender that can make a family proud. “I am proud of my parents especially my sisters who encouraged me all the time. My success is a testimony to those families who feel that only male child can make their families proud,” feels Iram. She is all praise for her teachers at Govt higher secondary school Baramulla and says that without their affectionate cooperation, her success could have never been possible.
