Barn owls are faring a lot better this year. Monitoring has been taking place on the 60 Fair to Nature Farms that are part of our Barn Owl Project. One farm in Leicestershire has seen barn owls take up residence in one of their monitored nest boxes for the 4th year running and this year the pair have raised 4 chicks, the first of which has already taken her maiden flight. Another Fair to Nature farm in Suffolk has seen 9 chicks fledge from 3 nest boxes.
