Barry Grossman via Scott Rickard 1 min · Some people appear to take comfort in the rhetoric of these British Labour Party parliamentarians. While I am not dismissing each and everyone as a hypocrite, certainly several of those speaking and most, if not all, of those not in in attendance, dont seem to get it all . After all, they still embrace the self-professed Zionist Ed Miliband as their leader and he has publicly sworn his allegiance to Israel. Moreover, looking at the sparse attendance for this Commons or, if you prefer, Commoner debate, one could be forgiven for assuming it was a calculated effort by the partys most liberal elements to garner political support in the UK, not for the Palestinian cause, but rather for the Labour Party. In any case, leaving aside the thorny issue of their own partys policy towards Israel, more than a few of those speaking in this clip embrace the Zioganda ruse of associating symbolic and reactive rocket fire from Gaza towards the occupied territories, with Israels entirely unrelated belligerent offensive. At the same time the perfunctory speeches made by these members signals their coded support for the Zionist agenda by expressing a diluted but sanctioned version of the prescribed position which, at a minimum, requires the denunciation of Hamas and all action taken by the legitimate armed resistance. The rockets are a Red Herring. All Hamas rockets fired since the beginning of time have killed only 5 Israelis. The simple fact is that Israels political and security apparatus loves the rocket fire since it affects almost nobody but is easily spun into presenting an existential threat which provides the premise for getting an additional roughly $500 million a year in aid from the US (over an above the standing military aid of more than $3 billion a year), ostensibly to develop and maintain so-called Missile defense Systems (iron Dome, Davids Sling etc.) through a private Israeli Defense contractor controlled by Israels security apparatus and which funds are dispersed entirely at the discretion of Israel. In any case, since the rocket fire exacts almost no casualties but does impose a hefty economic burden on Israel and the US. This is a fact which is openly recognised by the US government. That being the case, the tactic of rocket fire embraced by various Palestinian miilitia groups, if not by the Quislings who dominate the Zionist controlled Palestinian Authority, and which compels Israel to play the game of launching interceptor missiles at $50,000 a pop, is a legitimate tactic in a belligerent war which, through international intrigues, has left Palestinians, for all practical intents and purposes, unarmed, oppressed, occupied and under siege. If the British Labour Party wants to be taken serious on the issue, they have long way to go and really must lift both their game and their rhetoric.
