Basically I got an email from David Hipp Executive director of Youth Services “We have made decisions and will continue to make decisions re: Chantel that our teams determine are in her best interests.” My response to his email - Mr. Hipp, I am sorry you feel that way; it was the right decision to make in Chantel’s best interest to return her to the State of Hawaii. The laws in-between Utah and Hawaii differ including credentials on facilities; Chantel is a native Hawaiian Youth sent across state lines to a for profit facility that gave her a drug she never should have been given. She was there without parental consent and under our objection. She was under your departments care and watch when she became sick. She was unable to contact home, she was not taken to the hospital in a timely manner, and she was released back to Falcon Ridge Ranch without an investigation first. We have gone public in Chantel’s best interest, we will continue to be public, and seek public support including being extremely vocal and out spoken about Chantel until she is returned to the state of Hawaii. Tony & Caroline de Jetley If you would like to call his office or voice your opinion since you are a resident of the state of Hawaii and a Tax payer paying for Chantel’s service in Utah please contact him at- David Hipp Executive Director Office of Youth Services 808-587-5710 (Office)or at [email protected]
