Be aware that there is/are bicycle thieves operating in Hitchin/the Westmill estate! My younger brothers bike was stolen from the communal bike-storage space on the 3rd floor of his security-doored building on Milestone road yesterday. They are clearly planned thefts if they are going to the trouble of entering locked buildings so Id advise people to double check their bikes are secured properly overnight. My brothers model is the same as the image below except has Mineral Oil Hydraulic disc brakes, a rear mud guard (the bike itself is fairly mucky from use!), and rubber Frogs style wrap around lights front and back, Schwalbe Marathon Plus semi-slick tyres (thinner than those pictured). Please if anyone tries to sell you a bike matching this description over Gumtree/Craigslist/eBay or a local buy/sell Facebook group etc that they are selling stolen property, and to notify the police. If the bike is found and safely returned to its rightful owner, there will be a CASH REWARD. Cheers Hitchin :)
