Be sure to thank a TEACHER this week, dear reader-friends. My Amish friends give gifts to their young teachers various times throughout the school year, encouraging them and showing gratitude. Where would we be without the special teachers in our lives? Those who have made an enormous difference in our outlook--those whove guided us to find our talents...and to do what we do best with all of our heart? Give a tribute here, below this post, to the one teacher who stands out in your mind--who passed along the love of reading, perhaps. Ill start: My sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Eahmann, read aloud THE YEARLING, by Marjorie Rawlings, to the class each day, which flamed my passion for writing fiction. It was that year that I wrote my first LONG short story, She Shall Have Music, as well as the snippets for my first novella, THE SUNROOM. I often think of Mrs. Eahmann and thank the Lord for her remarkable influence on my young life. OK, now its your turn, dear friends.
