Be you in a doleful state or a joyous state about the state of our nations affairs, no state is worse than a state of lost hope in our nationhood. Be you under the shelter of the multicoloured eagle-head umbrella or be you a kinsfolk of the elephantine trumpet-blowing fellow, on this occasion of Independence, we are all in the same perilously leaking ship. Do we hold each other by the neck and fight while the leaking ship sinks down into the abyss of poverty, unemployment, corruption and all them babylon evils? Or do we reason together, patch up the fissures and sail together to the safe island of progress and development? I say this to your conscience; Lions and lambs are not the best of friends because lions eat lambs. But neither the lion nor the lamb wants the forest to catch fire. And neither the lion nor the lamb want acid rain to fall. If the lions and the lambs can identify common ground, then we as a nation certainly have every reason to come TOGETHER! Long Live Ghana, Long Live Africa, Long Live men of Conscience.
