Beautiful song, Smokey Mountain Memories, sung by the very talented Mel Street who unfortunately took his own life. I was fortunate to meet Mel backstage at the Mother Church of Country music, the Ryman Auditorium, after his performance one night on the Grand Ole Opry in the mid 1970s. I still have that autograph as well as one from the legendary Del Reeves whom I also met that same evening. I am blessed and thankful for a wonderful life and so many happy memories that I am still building!!!
