Beauty and The Beast cast announcement Beauty and The Beast at the Guild Theatre Beauty and The Beast, the musical by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, is based on the 1991 film of the same name by Disney. The Guild Theatre management was delighted when they secured the performance rights for this award-winning musical for the festive season. Their enthusiasm was shared by local performers when more than 100 hopeful actors, dancers and singers auditioned for only 24 roles. Director Amanda Bothma, Musical Director Germaine Gamiet and Choreographer Natelie Oberem had the daunting task of selecting 24 performers best suited for this musical. Bothma said: “We were spoilt for choice. Most of the main characters and even the chorus members are seasoned performers”. Beauty and The Beast will be performed at the Guild Theatre from December 6th to December 21st 2013 . Bookings will open shortly. Watch this space!
