Beauty is in us all! Our lives are all about cookie cutter images. A man by the name of Adolf Hitler said Human kind should only look one way. After he said that he started killing off people that didnt look or act the way his cookie cutter image of mankind was suppose to act. The world finally stood up and said to hitler we dont want to only look one way, we dont only want to believe in one thing and we dont want to act one way. We want to be our selves. Time has gone by since Hitler and Magazine covers and commercialism is still totting Hittlers beliefs. Your not pretty unless you are blond, blue eyed and skinny. What if the world woke up one more time and started a war, however this time the war was not with a dictator but with an industry? I have been sent stories of famous photographers and people in the fashion/advertising world going rogue. What do I mean by this? Well one photographer wanted to shoot real beauty wanted to see more than blond hair beauty and ended up finding beauty in people with special needs. In the movie linked to this post you are about to see an amazing story about a mahican maker and a store that wanted to show the world that beauty comes in all different ways and shapes. My favourite part of this video is when people are walking out side of the store and they are intrigued and consumed with the beauty of these mahicans the store front window. People started to stop and ask questions and it made them think. As most of you know, I have started a cover girl campaign. My dream is to see fettering people with special needs and primarily someone with autism. My hope is that by making someone with autism a cover girl it will have the same affect as the mahican on a bigger scale. @covergirl Says that every girl is a cover girl, So why dont they prove it and show the world someone with a special need.
