Beaver Lake just outside of Marble, Colorado on the road leading to Crystal Mill. 4 x 4 road, although this is a capture short of the really rough terrain... Hoya Polarizer helped me really grab the reflections. D800E with focal length 200m, SB700 flash for fill, gradient XCSource gradient 2 stop filter on top to reduce intensity and blend it with lower scene/water.... CS6 enhancements in hue/ brightness and warmth. There were no clouds in the sky so I removed the aesthetic and just filled my frame with the fun of the scene, lots of fall color, the mountain scape and little cottage ..... I did include the sky in the water reflection to a stab of color outside the fall warm colors.... I like that spritz of blue. CC welcome...shares & comments always invited. I did try this will HDR, but it was too contrasty and sketch looking..... I liked the softer feel of this capture without HDR.
