Because its at the forefront lately... 24 yrs ago i had an amazing Doctor that diagnosed me with depression. This amazing man also used to call me in the evenings and tell me he was going to the gym in Amherst & he would like me to meet him there. He always told me it was nothing to be embarrassed about, Ive used medication and exercise to keep my life healthy and balanced & Im not afraid to admit it or to talk about it. Some folks; including people I love dearly, refuse to understand & think depression/anxiety is an excuse, or that being medicated is for the crazy. I have nothing i feel i need an excuse for, and if being medicated because Im crazy means that Im able to live a life loving, dancing, laughing, being a good mom to my boys & a pain in the ass wife to my husband...well then I guess Crazy is the way i want to be!
