Been home 4.5 years now. And just want to thank everyone that has been a part of the BTH movement for all the love and support along the way. Its been a long time coming since that day I was sitting on Dave Hectors Porch having the usual conversation with him that one has after being hemmed up for so long,....wheres so & so, what happened to Yo, and why is it so dead out here? What happened to everybody? And then looking at the building that used to be Billy s house, abandoned and falling apart, and asking Dave,.... whats up with that? What I want to say to all of Yall is that its been along time coming but we almost there. Started from the bottom now we here as Keesha says;) Not only were we, by coming together, able to save Billy s old house for the community, because it sure as hell would have been gone by now, but we are also about to finally renovate it into what it should be....a workforce development and enrichment opportunities program for youth. And notice that I didnt just say youth in Mount Hope because Billy would not have wanted it that way. Insha-Allah we are about to renovate this building Yall! And from there we are only just getting started! If no one else Believes in you.....BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
