Been meaning to post but today is the start of the countdown to that major change I posted about a month (or so) ago. Today is the first day of the last week of my job at Verizon. After a little over 19 years I will walk out those doors for the last time. A little bitter sweet as I will miss many of the people I work with but will not, in any way, shape or form, miss this job I have been doing for the last 2 and a half years.. While it is a bit scary that I will unemployed for the first time in over 25 years, especially considering I have 3 kids I have to raise, I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life away from this building complex. I do have a few solid looking job prospects and I am starting to get my resume out there. I am also looking forward to taking the next month off and getting to spend the holidays with my kids followed by our family trip we have planned.
