Been sitting in stormy weather for forever it seems, but what a glorious weekend Ive had! I fished toothbrushes out of the toilet, scooped up Cheerios from every imaginable corner of my house, chased a tiny girl through the childrens museum, took her trick-or-treating, made fingerprint messes ALL over the place, watched Sesame Street with my girl snuggling in my lap, woke up to giggles and tiger growls, played in the leaves and danced in the kitchen. Was feeling like the clouds were set like iron above me but I was so very wrong. I have a gorgeous, brilliant, kind, generous and funny child. She is healthy. She is loved. I love her and her father loves her and her grandparents love her and so she will forever have all she needs. I have a great job and two co-workers who are sharp and kind-hearted. I have a wonderful landlady, a safe home, a running vehicle, parents who love me unconditionally, family who stand by me and friends who are excellent human-beings. I am intent on counting blessings now. And I THANK all the marvelous people in my life who have lent me their prayers, their kindness, their patience and their levity. Ive always been pretty uncomfortable asking for or accepting help. But sometimes help is needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you for every act of kindness. I will do my college best to pay it forward in spades.
