Before I forget, I wanted to take a minute to praise the TSA. In - TopicsExpress

Before I forget, I wanted to take a minute to praise the TSA. In all my stressing before our trip, I ended up on the TSAs website researching how to handle all of Ellis supplies for security. I found a link and phone number for something called TSA Cares. TSA Cares assists travelers with disabilities and medical conditions. I called the hotline and immediately got a live (english speaking) person. She kindly explained to me that we could pack ANYTHING we needed for Elli, just to put it together while easily separated from our other belongings (we used a small rubbermaid type bin with lid). She coordinated a PSS (Passenger Support Specialist) to assist us both times we went through security. When we got to the airport the PSS was so kind and we almost felt like we were getting the royal treatment by skipping lines and having an escort. While we were in Boston I missed a call from the same woman I had spoken to before our flight. She wanted to remind me to ask for a PSS and to call her with any questions. When we left Boston this morning, they were all so kind and accommodating. I know everyone never has anything but horrible things to say about the TSA, but they really showed me a different side on this trip. For anyone looking to fly with a loved one who has a disability or medical condition, dont hesitate to call!! This really made things so much easier for this stressed out Momma :)
