Before I write this post, I want to clarify that this is not to prove any points or argue with anyone. I think Messi and Ronaldo are wonderful players, just that some like one more than the other which is absolutely fine. They have both had wonderful starts to the season, Ronaldo probably the better. But media wants to make you believe that Messi has had a below standard season so far. So just some stats. Messi. 21 appearances. 23 goals. 0 penalties. 9 assists. Ronaldo. 23 appearances. 30 goals. 9 penalties. 9 assists. Not proving a point that Messi has had a better start, I also think Ronaldo has started better. But is the difference really as large as what the media shows it to be ? #AK
