Before and after the wedding ceremony, by Tekena Ikoko I was seeking her breast, Lust screamed out its shout; But all the breasts gave no rest, A new life in Christ was my only way out. I was seeking her bed, Culture and age said I must get a wife; But choice was difficult in my head, Experiences beclouded my life. I was seeking my heart, Passion and purpose said she’s the one; Proposal accepted; Love leapt like a hart, My bride and I, at last, were one. One year later, I was seeking to end the marriage, All the sweet love was now on vacation; I had no remedy; I could no more manage, Divorce became attractive. Where is my salvation? Then came the lights, You ought to seek her heart. Differences are good, Understanding is true love’s might, Marriage rule: After God, wives must truly come next, Only then shall honeymoon refill the night.
