Before my Dad was called to be with the Lord a few years ago, two - TopicsExpress

Before my Dad was called to be with the Lord a few years ago, two of the staple life teachings he imbued upon me were that of Cover Your Ass and Pray for the Best, Prepare for the Worst. Ive decided to apply these to my belief of the Rapture and its timing. Seeing as it is a topic, one of many, that has split the Church apart unfortunately. The way Ive started to look at the Rapture is that I should, *Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)* yet at the same time believe that *But he who endures to the end shall be saved. (Matthew 24:12)* means to the very VERY END. So that I should as such til the time whenever Christ calls us I need to *Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. (Romans 12:10-18)* I feel if we could all just view the situation like this, seeing as its really not our place but Gods to be concerned with such things, we could come together even stronger as a Church. Ill go as far to say that I believe to the deepest depths of my heart that we need to do this with all other minor debate topics. So long as we can come together on MAJOR DOCTRINAL POINTS we could stop arguing with each other and really start *Living Like Jesus because He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (1 John 2:6)*, doing a lot of good for our communities, beginning to put a positive light in others eyes, as to what Christianity is supposed to be. In the words of Jake Hamilton, *Were wasting breath debating; this life is fleeting, fading; Somebody wake up, theres a world thats waiting.* *What good is Love if you dont give that Love away?!* - Jake Hamilton, Supernatural Revolution [youtu.be/vqcv6_qoNCQ?list=PL0frOoxygCfX77n0mlOFhnjBqnsXWkiMr] Pastors especially, please check out: [youtu.be/dvI1qzKPFQw] with open hearts and minds to the very end.
