Before the Affordable Care Act became law, Hobby Lobby provided coverage for all 20 FDA-approved contraceptive procedures required under the law. Once it became a mandate, Hobby Lobby owners decided to object to four of the contraceptive procedures on religious grounds. Those four contraceptive procedures are: two “morning after” emergency contraceptive pills, Plan B and Ella, and hormonal and copper intrauterine devices (IUDs).
