Before the Media goes utterly apeshit over this, please refrain from being an ignorant moron and read the entire story. This wasnt a demand of religious names being taken off the calendar, but a hardline response to a simple request from a district that would rather change the names of school breaks to create an uproar instead of just attempting to create an equal base that would have worked for everyone. A calm, rational mind would have just taken 2 of the random days off that school districts are allowed and scheduled those to coincide with the 2 requested Muslim holidays. This would have shown the school district to be taking a proactive stance to be progressive. Problem. Solved. Murica.
