Beggars, Princes, & Fairy Tales A king adopts a beggar child, takes him into his mansion and says all this is yours. The child takes the candlesticks and jewels and puts them in his pocket. He takes the paintings down, puts them in a bag. The child still has the mind and heart of a beggar. He doesnt really believe hes rich, adopted or loved. As long as he clings to it, hes not. If were clinging to money, that means were really not rich. If were clinging to possessions, that means we really dont have much. If were clinging to the love of people, then it means we really dont have love. If were clinging to anything in the world, it means we really dont have much in heaven. Youre a child of God if youre born again. Youre a child of the king. Whatever He has is yours. He has gladly, freely, given you the kingdom and all His blessings. You dont have to cling to things anymore. If youre His child, youre rich. Receive it, and stop clinging. Let go and be blessed. In God, youre no longer a beggar. Youre a child of the King. Todays Mission Give to those in need and help the ones who have lost hope; love those who need to see, and feel Gods love. Doing these things, we store up heavenly treasures and His blessings. Luke 12:32 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. “What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself. Already here What are you waiting for? Whatever it is, stop waiting and start living. The purpose of your life is already here, so live it. The meaning, the beauty, the opportunities, the resources, the time and the inspiration are already here, so go ahead and make full use of them. Just dive right in to the substance of life. Start where you are, for the sooner your efforts begin, the more you’ll achieve. Indulge that persistent longing to be creative, to say what you really mean and to live the reality of what you truly love. Everything necessary is already here, and so are you. Let go of the excuses and silly rationalizations and let yourself live this day in all its beauty and glory. Stop searching and wondering and start letting your heart lead the way. Your most promising moment is already here. Grab it and joyfully go with it. Manage Emotions When the energy of our consciousness is out of our control – the mind is agitated. We are being emotional. The solution is to detach from the inner storms, stand back and observe the hurricane pass. Detached observation withdraws the energy which your emotions require to sustain themselves. When you watch your own anger, it dies. If you don’t detach from it, and observe it …it will be your master. Love, Debbie
