Behold, Good Tidings Its important that we allow ourselves the freedom to listen expectantly for Him, Jesus. During His ministry, He took time alone with His Father and told His disciples to do the same (Mark 6:31,46). We too need a quiet place free from distraction to listen to the good tidings provided for us throughout this holiday season. Dont listen to the distortions, the misunderstanding and the condemnation that some have about the awesomeness of CHRISTMAS. Instead think about the Good News of the occasion. The Bible is clear about the fact that God actively pursues a personal relationship with His children. He delights in you and desires to bring restoration to the painful places in your life. He offers Himself as a refuge from fear and anxiety. He holds out His strength to those who are weak, and He longs to mourn with those who are broken. He is here for you anytime you come. He is gently calling your name. He is imploring and urges your return to Him. He is very specific, take action in response to sin; freedom follows. He encourages you to rely on His power, not your strength. He releases you from the past, you are forgiven. He attracts and generates an expectation of kindness, love and a new beginning with His help. He draws you into fellowship and He is the True Meaning of this wonderful time we call CHRISTmas. Isnt this Good News? Enjoy the Good News! Have a blessed month. Pastor Héctor
