Being Blessed Psalm 1:1-2 (Amplified Bible) - BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. Many coin the phrase “Be Blessed” or walk about telling others to: “Have a Blessed day!” Although these are good things to say do we or they actually or always know what it is that they are saying? One of the dictionary definitions for bless is to confer prosperity or happiness upon. To be blessed would mean bringing pleasure or contentment: to be delightful. These things come solely from God and He is the only one that can make these things come about in ones life. Although we may say it to one another we are to understand that God has all ready said it about us and we can experience all that comes from being blessed as we delight in Him and in His word. Our lives will be filled with the blessings of the Lord and we will live a happy, fortunate, prosperous, pleasurable life as He intended. Blessed is what we are. Have a Blessed, Divinely ordered, God favored, victorious and prosperous day! *Excerpt from "@A A Word in Season" by Randy C. Jones
