Being Careful Job 36:8-10 (New Living Translation) If troubles - TopicsExpress

Being Careful Job 36:8-10 (New Living Translation) If troubles come upon them and they are enslaved and afflicted, He takes the trouble to show them the reason. He shows them their sins, for they have behaved proudly. He gets their attention and says they must turn away from evil. Job 36:15 (New Living Translation) But by means of their suffering He rescues those who suffer. For He gets their attention through adversity. Job 36:21 (New Living Translation) Be on guard! Turn back from evil, for it was to prevent you from getting into a life of evil that God sent this suffering. When things are going my way I’m not so concerned about how I act or think. I can become very careless in my thoughts and deeds. But when I’m troubled and being tested I am more careful about doing the right thing and having the right attitude. Life’s problems have a way of drawing me closer to the Lord and producing better Christian behavior in me. I become more focused on Christ and pleasing Him, it becomes a lot easier to do right rather than wrong. I love those carefree days when I don’t have a problem in the world, but it’s the times I’m being careful to do the right thing that are most rewarding and fulfilling, that’s when I know I’m being changed and that Christ is being formed in me. Just Saying… The amount of God’s activity in your life is relative to how much time you spend with Him, in His word and in prayer.
