“Being defeated is often a temporary condition . . . giving up is what makes it permanent.” Defeat is a part of life, it’s going to happen. If you’re going to be successful you have to compete, especially with yourself. People who are successful at improving their health and fitness fight different battles almost every day. Some battles are mental that deal with lack of motivation, questioning can it be done or how can it be done. Other battles may be physical, “It’s too hard”, “I’m too old” or “I’m too out of shape to start.” When these battles arise you find out what you’re made of, will you get up and keep trying when defeated comes or will you keep pushing, keep moving forward when things get tough?
