Believe it or not, there’s actually someone in Washington who knows when to hold ‘em and knows when to fold ‘em…The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is meeting this week, to hear arguments from Obama officials about why they think it’s necessary to launch a military strike against Syria. The hearings have gotten pretty tense at times. But there was one lighthearted moment when a photographer caught John McCain, during a dull stretch, playing video poker on his cell phone. McCain tweeted that it was a big scandal: he was not only caught playing poker, but worst of all, he lost. Personally, I don’t hold it against him for playing a little poker instead of listening to some of those jokers. In fact, some might argue that if Barack Obama had just been a better poker player, he would’ve made a lot fewer foreign policy mistakes like the ones that have led to the Syria crisis.
