Bella update:Without getting too medical, the vet found her to be very lame in her front feet, she has thin soles on her hooves and it is compressing on her cannon bone (hoof bone) and the inflammation is causing the bone to degrade. This is combined with long pasterns (conformation "faults") ( but will aid in making her gait smooth to ride) and a long toe. Prognosis get corrective shoeing including pads and shoes, the hoof is an awesome thing in that it can regenerate. This problem probably caused her to change her weight distribution to take weight off front end and this can cause the other problems in her hind end. Hopefully that will grow bone back and let the sole heal. She might need shoes all her life, maybe not. TIme will tell. If she does well in next several months she might be able to start her riding training. To sum it up she needs some expensive designer footwear! Typical girlie horse! :)
