Beloved: This is the Memorial Day weekend. Monday is a Federal holiday designated for the last Monday in May when the nation pauses to remember the men and women who died while serving in the armed forces. The day was formally known as Decoration Day and it honored the Civil War soldiers that lost their lives in that battle. It eventually became Memorial Day and is different that Veterans Day, which celebrates the service of all US military veterans. The day is often celebrated with visits to the cemetery, local parades and family picnics. It also marks the start of the summer season. We can say that Memorial Day is a day to remember events, people and place. This Sunday I will preach a sermon titled, Things to Remember Today. You are invited to visit or watch via Ustream. Let others know. Dr. Marc Rivera
