Ben Barba has given the strongest indication yet his immediate future could lie in Queensland, with his young family contemplating a return to the Sunshine State. In a candid and wide-ranging interview, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs superstar yesterday spoke of his desire to be near young daughters Bronte and Bodhi, whose mother Ainslie Currie is on the verge of going back to Queensland to be closer to her family. Aware of Barba’s situation, the Gold Coast Titans and Brisbane Broncos are poised to make Barba huge offers should he request a release from Canterbury to join his family.
