Ben Franklin must be spinning in his grave knowing that Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe is clandestinely aiding Republicans in their schemes to privatize the Postal Service. ...the APWU recently obtained a copy of the heavily redacted USPS agreement [between the USPS and Staples], which reveals the true goal of the program is to replace jobs held by USPS employees with low-wage jobs in the private sector, as well as expand the program to 1,500 Staples stores nationwide. The USPS is the largest unionized workforce in the country, so naturally, Republicans have been trying to destroy it. How much more do we have to suffer the CONservative assaults on the working class before we stand together and fight?
