Ben Tate, Isaiah Crowells Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 10 - TopicsExpress

Ben Tate, Isaiah Crowells Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 10 Performance: Just when it seemed the Cleveland Browns running back committee was figured out, Ben Tate appeared to have taken over the reins yet again. Then it was back to Isaiah Crowell. Such is life when trusting running backs in the Cleveland backfield. With Andrew Hawkins and Jordan Cameron out, per Richard Skinner of the Enquirer, the Browns relied more on the running game. As a result, it was Tate who got off to a hot start against the Cincinnati Bengals. Tates first carry of the game on Thursday Night Football went for a four-yard touchdown. As Dan Murphy of the Browns PR department notes, Tates emergence has been huge for a once-maligned rushing offense: A week after barely breaking three points for fantasy owners, Tate already doubled that score on one carry. Needless to say, owners who gave up faith were sorely disappointed with either benching or dropping him. On the next possession, it was Crowell who made his mark on the game. The rookie has made a huge impact on red-zone carries this season, as Mike Clay of Pro Football Focus notes: Meanwhile, Terrance West was also getting touches out of the backfield as the team moved down the field. Both Tate and Crowell were impactful near the goal line, but West yet again stole carries prior to that point. Matthew Berry of ESPN passed along the emotional roller coaster for West owners: Suffice it to say, nothing is guaranteed with any of the Browns running backs this season. Tate had two games with touchdowns prior to Thursday night, while Crowells touches are typically limited. Owning any of the backs at this point is a coin toss for owners who simply have to hope for production. Both Tate and Crowell are worth owning in deep fantasy leagues but are limited to a flex-only role in good matchups—like playing against Cincinnatis rush defense. Follow @RCorySmith on Twitter.
