BeneStream Enrollment Manager/Enrollment Specialist Job Description BeneStream is a revolutionary start-up that has the potential to deliver billions of dollars in poverty alleviation every year. Recognizing an unprecedented historical opportunity in the Affordable Care Act, BeneStreams enrollment service will help millions of eligible working-poor families claim critical government benefits. BeneStream is looking for an energetic, personable individual with a passion for economic justice who is interested in working for a for-profit social venture. The right candidate will be hyper-organized, personable, and ready to work independently to deliver BeneStream’s service in the field. The Enrollment Manager and Enrollment Specialist will each play a key role in delivering BeneStream’s public benefits enrollment product. The Enrollment Manager will train and manage other enrollment specialists. Both individuals will complete enrollments one-on-one with low-income workers. The Enrollment Manager/Enrollment Specialist will experience the energy of a startup environment and have a front row seat for the implementation of the ACA. This is an opportunity to have a voice in the design of a new model of anti-poverty program, while working directly to boost the incomes of low-income families. This position is available full time or part time and location is flexible. The Enrollment Specialist position is entry level, and the Enrollment Manager position requires 1-3 years work experience. We are particularly looking for people in the Midwest (Michigan, Ohio, Illinois), West Coast (LA, San Francisco, Fresno, Bakersfield), and West/Southwest (Las Vegas, Reno, Phoenix). All positions require regional travel. Duties Include: § Project management: understand BeneStream’s unique enrollment system for Medicaid, food stamps, and Lifeline phones, and oversee large-scale, workplace-based enrollment § Direct client service: help low-income and working families apply for Medicaid, food stamps and Lifeline phones § Public presentations to clients and partner organizations § Quick and creative thinking: Observe the enrollment process and provide feedback on how to improve it § Other policy research, operations and client management projects as needed Desired Qualifications: § Proficient in Spanish or another commonly spoken language § Personable and comfortable assisting clients over the phone and in person § Ability to think on your feet and solve problems in the field § Ability to work independently § Highly organized § Must be willing to travel regionally; car and drivers license preferred For immediate start.
