Benefits if having your hotel one block from the convention: 1. When your daughter has finally had enough of the exhibit show floor and all of your feet are dog tired, but your son wants to stay for a panel later in the day, YOU CAN LEAVE with your daughter and rest your feet back in air conditioned comfort while your son soldiers on. 2. When your son texts you to say he is finally in line for his Skullgirls panel that starts in two hours, you can pop back over to the Con to bring him the portable folding chair that we were clever enough to bring (but not clever enough to remember to leave with him before we left!), along with an ice cold Coke, which he greatly appreciated. 3. And then you go back to the hotel for your own ice cold glass of Chardonnay (you guys must all think I am a lush, with all the mentioning of wine, but after four to six hours a day at Anime Expo, it is well earned!).
