Besides inauguration of Railway station yard kaskoot Banihal this month by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan singh Work on railway station yard once again suspended when locals of kaskoot raised strog protest against IRCON authorities at station yard kaskoot after Friday prayer. After a gape of 11 months once again work suspended at station yard kaskoot. People allege that this village which gave all precious land to station yard, neither way has been provided to rest of the paddy land near station yard.People alleged no link road provided to this village. Hundreds of people protest against IRCON or Northern railway at station yard kaskoot for not providing link road to this village besides given prominences many times by IRCON authorities and Administration from last two years. People threatened that they will not allow work on railway station yard kaskoot till this link road not be contracted. Our protest against IRCON Authorities remained continued till our demand be not full filled.Soon after protest Tehsidar Banihal Dr Usman Khan SdPO Banihal ,SHO Banihal reached place of protest. Villagers of kaskoot raised anti IRCON slogans.Eleven months back people of kaskoot, zanihal protested against IRCON authorities the then people suspended protest on the assurance of ADDC Ramban that flyover and will be constructed for remaining paddy lands, and approach road up to kaskoot from station yard. People of kaskoot, zanihal, Asher alleged that IRCON authorities always heart the feeling of local masses. We provide hundreds of kanals of our precious land for construction of Railway station and received nothing from said company. None of our youths given employment in spite of that they provided above 75% land their land. Sarpanch Kaskoot Tariq Iqbal khan told media persons that so called behaviour of IRCON from the beginning were shameful. Crop compensation of land owners are pending since last seven years. Link road was diverted so that village of kaskoot, zanihal are not benefited. No youth from Kaskoot, zanihal given jobs in IRCON as well as its sublets. The work will remain suspended till our genuine demands are not full filled. One senior citizen Prof kh Abdul Waheed told that my crop compensation is pending since last eight years Neither IRCON providing water to my paddy land since from last 8 years nor job is given to my sons. His maximum numbers of kanals land gone under railway yard. A youth Ab Waheed Naik told that besides assurances of handsome compensation and facilities in the beginning when it was surveyed for railway yard at kaskoot. They told us that we people get jobs besides many benefits are there for them if this project is given green signal, but after loosing our precious paddy lands we received can charged, butts crop compensation pending from last eight years, we protested so many times but all in vain. The company always ignored us in every field. IRCON not invested even a single penny for our development. When they are bound to invest 3% of total cast invested in the project.protest is still going on.
