Better to be alone. Better to find in your heart what truly feels like home. No one else’s ideals or opinions to askew what the truth is And that truth can only be yours. No one else’s. No empty shelves here To fill with the clutter of others that is truly Just gray matter transcending darkness And empty voids that neither of you can Possibly fill with each other’s things But simply with your own self worth On shelves meant only for you. Only for truth and happiness that you create. On your own. Because in that simplicity… That you realize the bitter truth That all the empty space in your bed and in your head Left by that void: The one that is the knowledge that Those that once occupied that space between the ethereal realm That is truly existential only in each other’s Hearts And that space where you occupied each other’s existence as ONE In a beautiful moment of wrapping your arms around that warmth That light, that caress and unicity of “I NEED THIS” Was truly: “WE NEED THIS” And those cuddling memories and holding hands that were actually hearts Shared in that grip of hand in hand. Is now just a beautiful memory… Hold fast to that Memory… For it may be the last beautiful grace you ever find. And in that knowledge Then Maybe… Truly… It’s better to be alone.
