Between the IRS targeting and harassing conservative groups and the more recent revelation of the NSA collecting data on millions of Americans, does anyone still really feel we are able to trust our government? "Governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed........ But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." Our founding fathers had it right. Are we the same sort of men to risk our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor for the liberty and prosperity of future generations or will we allow the "Shining City on the Hill" to become nothing more than a distant memory as we succumb to despotism? Is momentary comfort worth the cost of freedom? We must all take a stand, and soon, before it is too late.
