Between the first and second course, I approach the newlyweds, - TopicsExpress

Between the first and second course, I approach the newlyweds, Lisbeth looks like a fairy, her make-up intact not a trace of being tired. I ask the usual question “So how do you feel now?” I am happy and pleased about everything and am no longer tense…please excuse me if I speak in English but at this moment Italian would be a little difficult with joy coming out of her eyes hugging a little guest who came to greet her. Mark is more himself “Perhaps it is a bit early to ask us as there is still more to come” she says. “Can I ask you a question?” What did you say to each other at the altar before the ceremony began?” Lisbeth laughed “ah really nothing, I just pointed out to Mark that it was a good thing we didn’t decorate the church with flowers, because maybe our relatives would have sneezed” They laugh together holding each other’s hands. Then I moved on with the more invasive questions “Matt now can you say what it feels like to be a Catholic? “ Well, putting a hand in front of his nose. What does he mean by that?” Didn’t ask anything else. In less than no time the toasts start! From the table rises a request, the most common request made during weddings speech!. John begins by making a remark about the dark circles under Matt’s eyes embarrassing him publicly and immediately after describing him as a scoundrel who leaves his socks in the bread basket ... but he finishes saying that what counts is his big heart and that Lisbeth will definitely be a lucky and happy woman forever.
