Bianca Rodriguez, was spend the day with her family. When she returned home around 5 p.m. she found Fat Boy with blood on his mouth and 40-year-old Eddie Cahill dead in the living room mauled to death by his “Beloved” Pit Bull... Rodriguez emphasized that they had never had problems with the dog in the past. However, in a police report, she told responding officers she had warned Cahill to euthanize the dog because it was violent and unpredictable. But now she’s change her story, now saying, “I don’t want people to think bad of pit bulls,” Rodriguez told WGN. “It was a freak accident. He loved those dogs.” And his dog mauled him to death out of love? This story is just not adding up for me. I believe there has been a problem with this dog for awhile, and this guy/these people, ignored the warning signs, blinded by a false minded set about the dog. In interviews, Rodriguez told reporters, They were playful lovable protective dogs... one slept with the girls and the other slept with me and my husband.” Well, thank God it was the Husband and not one of the girls! I know there are good dogs and bad dog, the same hold true with any breed, but one has to be particularly careful with Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Chow Chow and some other breeds... and warning signs can not be ignored. I know that there are some cases where there are no warnings, but I don’t think that was the case here. I have family and friends who have Pit Bulls and/or Rottweilers and with most there has never been an issue, but in two cased their “lovable, protective, most playful and caring, best dog they ever owned,” went bad... one without warning, the other where the man of the house thought he could control the dog. In both cases it was an innocent person payed the price for the dog’s owner’s closed mind, poor judgement and irresponsibility. In one case the dog’s owner’s son will go through live with a scared face. The many surgeries helped, but he’ll never look normal again. If you have a good dog, and you treat him/her properly and the dog has the proper training and all, things should be fine, but you always have to be extra cautious with Pit Bulls and some other breeds. And the most comprehensive peer-review scientific research as well as any warning signs can not be ignored. This does not mean you can’t have a Pit Bull that is very loyal, lovable and a great companion, it just mean you have to be more cautious with them. myfox8/2014/12/26/indiana-man-mauled-to-death-by-pet-pit-bull/
