Bilal Ahmed Bilal 26 a graduate of Arts and Humanities at the University of Damascus worked as a television journalist and filmmaker in Syria. Bilal has been held for over a year incommunicado. It was reported by a released prisoner that Bilal was taken from the capital’s Mezzeh airport to Sednaya prison and has not been seen since April 2012. Bilal was an outspoken individual and advocate of the revolution in his hometown Sham Medmah. Bilal became targeted by the government and was ambushed by air force intelligence in Damascus. as he was preparing his paper-work to travel on assignment. Bilal lhas a wife and young child that are waiting for his return. According to the amnesty decree Bilal is eligible for release but has not been released.
