Bill is a 41-year-old Marine who served two tours in the Gulf War. Bill has a history of multiple chronic conditions. Recently Bill was hospitalized for evaluation of sore throat, night sweats, fever, shortness of breath, dizziness, joint pain, vision problems, diarrhea, skin rashes and fatigue. Bill was diagnosed and is currently being treated as an outpatient for Gulf War Syndrome. Now that Bill can access his VA Notes online, he finds that he is more prepared at his clinical encounters to ask questions, and he really values having a copy of the note after his visit to review and remember what was said, improving communication. As a veteran and patient, you too can view your clinical notes by being registered in My HealtheVet with a Premium account. For more information, stop by the My HealtheVet Connection at the Salem VA Medical Center, located in Building 143 as you enter the automatic front doors; or visit myhealth.va.gov.
