Binggraes Banana Flavored Milk is one of the traditional Korean drinks and its popularity has been going strong for more than 35 years. A lot of Koreans have nostalgic childhood memories of this milk. Around the 1970s, many Koreans were having problems with poor nutrition due to lack of food, so the government recommended people to start drinking more milk to solve this problem. However...Koreans preferred spicy over sweet or thick - and milk was a little too sweet and thick for Koreans at the time, so Binggrae introduced the Banana Flavored Milk. Bananas were considered a luxurious and expensive fruit at the time and being able to taste a banana flavor in something they could afford, was a luxurious thing. Ever since then, the Banana Milk popularity has never subsided. Though today this comes in many other flavor options but the banana remains everyones favorite.
