Biography- Sicelo Moya Another proud gem out of Nelspruit Mpumalanga! Sicelo Moya is an accomplished musician and anointed song writer born to a musical family. He has been singing and playing musical instruments for as long as he can remember. His love and passion for music was instilled by his father (a well known musician in his community), who encouraged all his children to either sing or play an instrument, which resulted to Sicelo forming a group called Lenient Sound, which attracted people from different churches. This group expanded to ‘Jubilee Praise’ and released an album in 1997. The family further produced artists like “Moya Movement’ which was nominated for the Best Gospel Jazz at the SA Crown Gospel Awards in 2009. His younger brother Wandile Moya affectionately known as Afrotraction was also nominated for the best urban soul album at the SAMAs in 2012 for his ‘Soul Deep’ album. Sicelo Moya was also featured on Benjamin Dube’s Renewal in His Presence Album in 2013. Sicelo debuts his long awaited album titled ”Bread of Life” and presents a new, yet soulful and sincere sound which appeals to Christians and non Christians equally. Bread of Life album has been nominated on four categories namely; Best Praise Song, Best Worship Song, Best Contemporary Song and Best Newcomer for the 2013 SA Crown Gospel Music Awards. The album embodies local and international elements which are captivating to the spirit, soul and body. Sicelo has been very active in the music fraternity, training musicians and worship leaders to develop their craft to excellence. This album symbolises the great things that are still yet to come from this exciting talent.
