Biography and History of Dr Nevers Sekwila Mumba MMD Leader... Names:Dr Nevers Sekwila Mumba, Born 18th May 1960 in the north of Zambia in Chinsali he is a Zambian politician and Church Minister. He served as Vice-President of Zambia and High Commissioner to Canada. He is also founder and President of Victory Bible Church and Victory Ministries International. Dr Mumba is on a mission to promote integrity in leadership and rid Zambia of corruption. He is married to Florence, with five children and one grand child. He made his name as the first TV evangelist in Zambia. He studied theology at Christ for All Nations Bible College in the United States. He also holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Regent University in the USA. For close to two decades, he pulled in huge crowds, preaching with eloquence a message of hope and dignity through Christ with a message of “Zambia shall be Saved”. He has written a book entitled “Integrity with Fire”. He is well known internationally in Africa, Europe and the Americas. On 25 May 2012, Dr Mumba was elected as fourth President of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) party with a landslide victory. He has exhibited strong and visionary leadership in the face of unprecedented persecution from the current Patriotic Front (PF) Government. He has been arrested several times and detained in prison twice, prevented from addressing rallies by security forces and hindered from speaking on radio and television several times. There was also an attempt to de-register the MMD in 2012.
