Biography for Brian Brooks (who will be presenting "Servant Leadership" on Wednesday of our conference): Brian Brooks is a 17-year veteran in Wyoming law enforcement. He received a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of Sioux Falls, SD. In 1994, he and his wife returned to Wyoming where he began working for the Converse County Sheriff’s Office in Douglas, WY. Brian worked for the Sheriff’s Office from 1995-2002, holding positions in Detention, Emergency Management, and Patrol. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1997. In 2002, Brian joined the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy as a full-time instructor. He has been the Basic Programs Manager since 2007, of which he is directly responsible for each of the basic courses (Peace Officer, Detention Officer, Communications, and Coroner). Part of his current duties includes the oversight of the Job Task Analysis that was recently conducted for the Public-Safety Communications Officer Basic, and the implementation of changes based on the findings of this study.
