Birthday Announcements: We have a hand full of birthdays to celebrate THIS FRIDAY and would like to first start off by wishing our very own Sophin Zoe HAPPY BDAY. We look forward to celebrating with you and all your friends in Sarongs. Read more below to get to know the birthday girl. A refugee from the Killing Fields of Cambodia, Sophin Zoe began performing at age 6 with The Cambodian Family Dance Troupe, learning the traditional and folk dances of the Khmer empire. She began training in hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance in her early years and transitioned into acting and singing. She has performed on many stages including the Shrine Auditorium and at Pasadenas Rose Bowl with the touring Choir, Higher Ground. Recently, Sophin Zoe is the Costume Designer and Actor in the award winning film, Paulina (2012) and the Unit Production Manager for Dead Hearts (2012). She serves on the committee for the Cambodia Town Film Festival and is currently working on the short teaser and feature film, Invisible Dance (in production 2014).
