Birthday Reflections I used to wake up between 4:30-5:00 a.m. in the morning because of the loud prayer done by my Muslim friends in their mosque just one house apart from the parsonage. Its my common routine every morning. But not this morning. Last night I slept in the guest house in the compound of my adviser due to some circumstances and I didnt know that everything was planned then. So when i woke up, it was not because of common sound, but rather through a sweet serenade sung by our youth and some leaders. As I listened to the peaceful harmony of their voices and the heart-penetrating lyrics I thought to myself if I was just dreaming though I was wide awake. So touching. So overwhelming. Morning tears were mixed with tears of joy. It was a great surprise, and I am surprised by the brethren love. I really enjoyed that early cold morning birthday surprise, and the fellowship with a hot chocolate, hot pandesal, and the very warm greetings full of love. It was the first time that such thing happened to my life. And my birthday went so fast. God is so great, seeing Him providing all the needs to our simple celebration. The food, the prayer, laughter, and the presence of each one is such a wonderful gift. All things are possible and enjoyable because He first gave me the best Gift I could ever receive-Jesus Christ. So I enjoyed my birthday not because I am special, but because He did something very especial, He gave us His Son. Knowing that God loves you unconditionally will give you lots of reasons to celebrate, in joy or in sorrow. God has been faithful and He will continue to do so. So I really praise God! And I also praise God for their lives. I treasure them most. Those people I minister with and I minister to, particularly, here in Palawan. It is really encouraging for me, a minister of His Word. 1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. I love you all. God bless. :)
